Our Services

Lehmann Auto Driving School offers both driving instruction as well as road testing in our NJ complaint vehicle. New drivers are required to complete 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction in a dual-controlled vehicle with a licensed driving instructor.

NJ Driving Instruction

New drivers are required to complete 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction in a dual-controlled vehicle with a licensed driving instructor. Lehmann offers a package of 3 two-hour sessions for $400 that can be booked online through our secure portal. After completing the required 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, students must practice supervised driving for 6 month. You can make an appointment for your road test for 6 months after you pass your knowledge test.

IF YOU FAIL the road test, you can re-test in 14 days.

IF YOU PASS the road test, your permit will be stamped, and you can either get your Probationary Driver’s License at the location of your road test (if available), or at any Licensing Center with your stamped permit and your documents – no appointment necessary.

NOTE: You cannot get your license until you are 17 years of age.

NJ Road Testing

NJ requires a registered vehicle with a current inspection sticker and an insurance card. The vehicle must allow the Testing Specialist access to the emergency brake from the passenger seat. The Testing Specialist must be able to reach either the foot brake or parking brake. You cannot take your road test if your vehicle does not qualify.

If your vehicle does not meet these specific requirements, as many newer vehicles do NOT, you can utilize our NJ approved testing vehicles for $125.00
